This question on transcription produced many comments that the content was beyond the scope of the syllabus. The question came from section 7.2 'Eukaryotic cells modify mRNA after transcription'. It is accepted that the question may have required more understanding but despite this, the question discriminated well and 51% of the candidates gave the correct response.
