Examiners report
This question asked about changes in the surface area to volume ratio as a cell gets bigger. Some centres suggested this was too mathematical for some students though the topic is included in Section 1.1 of the biology guide — Introduction to cells. The question discriminated well with most of the stronger candidates answering correctly.
