Outline the sequence of events that occurs during mitosis.

- breakup of nuclear membrane;
- growth of spindle/microtubules;
- attachment of spindle/microtubules to chromosomes/centromeres;
- chromosomes line up at the equator/middle
- division of centromeres;
- separation of sister chromatids/chromosomes

sister chromatids/chromosomes move to opposite poles; - reformation of nuclear membranes around chromosomes at each pole;
