Web links

Five fantastic websites

Really you should only need one fantastic website, i.e.

.....but no-one is perfect!

Throughout my site I've provided links to relevant websites dealing with the specific topic, e.g. NIST for spectra data.

The sites below are excellent for chemistry in general and for teaching chemistry but of course, unlike this site, they are not IB specific.

Royal Society of Chemistry  The largest organisation in Europe for advancing the Chemical Sciences. In particular check out their launch page for teaching and learning and their own dedicated website Education.

American Chemical Society ... and if Europe is not big enough for you this is the World’s largest scientific society. Check out their ‘molecule of the week’. Note: If you find yourself having to teach online, the American Chemical Society has put together a useful free compendium of information taken from ACS articles on Resources for Teaching Your Chemistry Class Online.

Two sites which are excellent for checking out basic chemistry for the 16-19 age level are Libre texts and Chemguide.
